Display a more customized list of news in your sidebar
The Customize Recent News Post List plugin adds a new widget to your options that allows you to display your recent news posts by a specific category or categories. Works great for highlighting specific news in each category of news.
Activate the Plugin
go to Plugins > All Plugins and activate the Custom Recent News Post List Plugin.
Activate the Widget
Go to Appearance > Widgets and find the Custom Recent Posts Widget and drag it to your sidebar.
Adjust Widget Settings
Click the arrow to the right of the widget to expand the options. You can change your Title to something else if you would like. Select how many news posts you want displayed. Select the categories or category you want shown and then click the SAVE button.
